Kuala Lumpur: The Asian Soccer Confederation has confirmed a revised jap zone Champions League group and playoff schedule after three Australian golf equipment pulled out of the 2021 match amid an interrupted home season extended by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Brisbane was scheduled to play Kaya FC-Iloilo within the preliminary stage on June 20 and Melbourne Metropolis was as a result of play Cerezo Osaka on 21 June.

The AFC on Sunday permitted the cancellation of the match between Brisbane Roar and Kaya FC-Iloilo from the Philippines, with the latter progressing to a playoff match towards Shanghai Port FC of China to safe the ultimate spot in Group F.

“The AFC additionally determined to cancel the playoff match between Daegu FC and Chiangrai FC with the 2020 Thai FA Cup winners changing Sydney FC in Group H and Daegu FC receiving a direct entry into Group I,” the AFC stated in an announcement Sunday.

“(The) match between Melbourne Metropolis FC and Cerezo Osaka has additionally been cancelled, with the Japanese facet receiving a direct bye into Group J, alongside China PR’s Guangzhou FC, Kitchee SC from Hong Kong and Thailand’s Port FC.”

The Asian Champions League Teams F, G and J will happen in Bangkok and Buriram in Thailand from 22 June to 11 July, 2021, whereas Teams H and I shall be staged in Tashkent, Uzbekistan from 25 June to 11 July.
